MAGINES is the imagination of a healing language, against the addictive and toxic nature of dominant digital interface design practices, a catalyst for the emergence of a new political imagination.

MAGINES is a call for the examination of the digital interface as, at once, today’s dominant visual artifact, and medium of communication.
MAGINES reimagines the digital interface in order to explore its potentials to articulate ‘other’ possibilities of expression; the means to imagine other realities: an e-merging language for e-merging realities.
We call attention to:
the urgency of a new form of literacy to address today’s alarming condition, in which the vast majority of the global population is illiterate in what is our new universal language.
the totalitarian nature of corporative online culture, implemented through the dominance of templates and social media platforms. Their crippling effects on creativity and the resulting mutilation of the imagination.
the central role of the dominant practices digital interface design as the locus of e-merging forms of power.
